Classic, robust, and sedative – three words that describe the highly sought-after Bubba Kush CBD hemp flower. This powerfully soothing strain magically clears muddled minds and whisks away physical fatigue. Bubba Kush is bursting with CBD and fresh, classically dank cannabis aromas.

Bubba Kush CBD Description

This CBD hemp flower is truly a sight to behold. Its buds are thickly layered with varying hues of deep green that are often interrupted by orange pistils and hints of purple leaves. Bubba Kush is generously coated in sticky trichomes that glitter in the light when this flower is examined.

Bubba Kush CBD – Genetics

The origins of Bubba Kush are almost as hazy as the smoke from burning the flower.

Though the tales vary a bit, there are a few aspects of the stories that always seem to line up: Los Angeles, a man called Bubba, mysterious Northern Lights seeds, accidental pollination, and the famous Kush strain.

OG Kush is perhaps the most famous cannabis strains on the planet! It’s widely believed that it’s one of Bubba Kush’s parent strains. OG Kush is an ever-so-slightly Sativa-dominant hybrid. It tends to offer its effects to the consumer’s mood. It has the tendency to perk you up, or it can send you to dreamland.

Northern Lights, the other believed Bubba Kush parent strain, is a famously sedative Indica. You’d be hard-pressed to find a cannabis lover that hasn’t tried, or at least heard of, Northern Lights. It’s beloved for its ultra-soothing effects that many people employ to help them sleep.

Legend says that a breeder who went by the nickname “Bubba” lived in Silver Lake, Los Angeles in the 1990s when he accidentally created Bubba Kush. Unbeknownst to Bubba, one of his Kush plants was hermaphroditic (had male and female sex organs) and pollinated a Northern Lights plant.

There are various accounts of Bubba Kush’s backstory. One includes Bubba obtaining mysterious Northern Lights seeds at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. There are others still that include another Kush strain that wasn’t the famous OG Kush.

Whatever happened, cannabis connoisseurs across California went crazy for the new strain. Years later, breeders crossbred Bubba Kush with a CBD-rich hemp strain. This was done to retain the therapeutic effects but remove the intoxicating THC.

Thus, Bubba Kush CBD hemp flower was born.

Bubba Kush Strain Terpene Profile

Terpenes are natural compounds produced by cannabis plants (and many other plants) that add aroma and flavor to the flower. Bubba Kush has a beautiful lineup of some of the most pleasant, potent, and effective terpenes out there. Let’s take a look at what makes Bubba Kush so uniquely special.

Caryophyllene

Caryophyllene is a wondrous terpene found in cloves, oregano, basil, black pepper, and rosemary. But it’s not only its warm, peppery aroma that makes this terpene special; Caryophyllene has soothing anti-inflammatory properties. It’s a pretty common cannabis terpene.

Myrcene

Myrcene is the most common cannabis terpene, but it’s also found in a wide range of other plants. You’ll find myrcene in high levels in cannabis’ cousin, hops, which are used for making beer! This particular terpene delivers peaceful, calming effects alongside spicy, balsam-like aromas and flavors.

Pinene

Pinene is a widely-loved cannabis terpene for its pine needle aroma and soothing effects. It’s found in dozens of cannabis strains and is also found in rosemary, basil, orange peels, and parsley! Pinene is particularly adept at reducing inflammation and relieving stress and anxiety.

Limonene

Limonene is a bright and uplifting terpene that, perhaps surprisingly, isn’t always found in lemony strains. In isolation, it does give off a lemony fragrance, though. Limonene is highly researched for its stress-relieving, anti-fungal, and anti-microbial properties.

Humulene

Humulene is a delightfully woodsy, spicy terpene that’s found in hops and wood in addition to cannabis. Beyond its herbaceous aroma, humulene has many therapeutic properties, including anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial abilities.

Ocimene

Ocimene is a complex terpene that somehow emits sweet, earthy, woodsy, floral, and citrusy aromas and all at once. It’s consistently used by the perfume industry for its lovely fragrance, which it lends to many cannabis strains. You’ll also find ocimene in lavender, mint, parsley, and kumquats!

Bubba Kush Strain Aroma & Flavor

Bubba Kush’s diverse terpene profile beautifully combines to create the rich, bold aromas and flavors of this famous cannabis strain. The flower emits a faint coffee-like aroma along with notes of sweet fruit and fresh kush. As it burns, the fragrance becomes more pungent.

While you inhale Bubba Kush, you’ll notice the aromas morphing from faint to distinct. The flower begins to smell more spicy, peppery, and ever-so-slightly skunky as you go. The coffee-like sweetness remains throughout and finishes on your tongue with the taste of classic cannabis.

Bubba Kush’s aroma is decadent and persistent – it will definitely linger on your clothing after you’ve smoked. Don’t want to smell like cannabis throughout your day? We recommend changing your outfit after inhaling Bubba Kush’s dank, robust smoke.

Bubba Kush CBD Strain Cannabinoid Profile

Bubba Kush contains a very hard-working 12.951% best CBD flower. Although this is considered a medium level of CBD for most modern strains, it definitely gets the job of relaxing consumers done quickly and effectively. Also, remember that this is an Indica-heavy strain – it’s naturally calm-inducing.

What Are the Effects of Bubba Kush CBD?

Indica strains like Bubba Kush are famously used and loved for their ultra-relaxing effects. Bubba Kush is somewhat of the ruler of Indica strains, second only perhaps to one of its (supposed) parent strains, Northern Lights. As soon as you inhale Bubba Kush, you’ll feel the soothing effects wash over you.

Bubba Kush is particularly adept at helping people fall and stay asleep at the end of the day. However, it has the ability to help relieve a wide range of pesky ailments, such as:

  • Worried/nervous thinking and behavior

  • Muscle soreness

  • Joint discomfort

  • Body tension

  • Swelling/puffiness

  • Upset stomach

  • Forlorn moods

Bubba Kush helps many people slow their overactive minds so that they can fully relax. Sometimes that’s for sleeping, and sometimes it’s for focusing on a task or handling a stressful social interaction. A couple of puffs won’t leave you foggy. However, a whole pre-roll of Bubba will likely lock you to the couch.

Suggested Uses

One of the glorious things about hemp flower is that there are a multitude of ways to use it! One of our favorite ways to use Bubba Kush? Grinding it up and packing it into a pipe or bong (water bubbler)! Because of its immediate and strong effects, you may only need a couple of puffs to feel at peace.

Our Bubba Kush hemp flower is also available in pre-roll packs, which are great for longer smoke sessions. However, you can extinguish a pre-roll and re-light it later if you only want some of it at once. Pre-rolls are amazing because they’re wrapped and ready to go whenever you need relief.

Ground Bubba Kush CBD flower can also be inhaled through herb vaporizers. Herb vaporizers are the perfect way to soften the harshness of Bubba Kush’s rich smoke. However you choose to smoke Bubba Kush, we know you’ll have an amazingly calming and restorative experience. Have fun with it!
