In-House Manufacturing

We can personally attest to the quality of our products because we oversee every step of the manufacturing process. You would be shocked to know how many cannabis retailers don’t know the true contents of their CBD products. Even fewer actually know about the manufacturing process. If the company is ignorant about its products, they might make promises they can’t deliver on.

At Hollyweed, we manufacture our products in-house so that we can control each aspect of production. We use an eco-friendly CO2 extraction process to obtain CBD extract from hemp plants. We never use harmful chemical solvents like butane or ethanol, which many other manufacturers resort to as a cost-saving measure.

Quality Ingredients

Every product at Hollyweed starts with all-natural organic ingredients. We never use artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, or any genetically modified organisms (GMO). Organic farming practices like crop rotation are better for the environment than the use of chemical pesticides. It also ensures a clean product for the consumer.

We partner with local hemp farms in Oregon and Colorado to produce our CBD. Many companies import cheap industrial hemp from other countries to save money. However, internationally-imported hemp is not subject to the same strict regulations as American hemp. You could actually end up with a product that exceeds the U.S. legal limit on Delta 9 THC (0.3%).

Third-Party Lab Tests

The Food and Drug Administration does not regulate the hemp CBD industry, meaning quality assurance is up to each individual company. We take this responsibility seriously, so we send every Hollyweed product to independent laboratories for testing.

Third-party lab tests verify our potency claims by testing the amount of CBD in each product. When we say our CBD oil is pure and powerful, we really mean it. You can prove it to yourself by reading the lab reports (also known as Certificates of Analysis (COAs) that we post on our website.

We apply our high-quality standards to all of our products, but we know that you came here specifically for CBD oil. With that in mind, let’s go over the three different CBD oils we offer.

FULL SPECTRUM

Full spectrum CBD oil contains all of the natural compounds in the hemp plant. The primary components are cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids, which we will go over in brief right now.

• Cannabinoids: These are the primary compounds responsible for the effects of hemp. Cannabinoids interact with the receptors in your endocannabinoid system (ECS) to produce a variety of beneficial effects. Examples of cannabinoids include Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC, as well as CBD, of course.
• Terpenes: Terpenes are the natural chemical compounds that give different cannabis strains their taste and smell. You can find terpenes in all plants, including pine trees, citrus fruits, lavender blossoms, and beer hops. Common terpenes include Myrcene, Limonene, and Pinene, but there are hundreds of other varieties in cannabis plants alone.
• Flavonoids: Even though their name sounds awfully flavorful, these compounds have nothing to do with the way cannabis plants taste or smell. Flavonoids lend color to plants, leading to the bright green, purple, and orange hues we find in premium hemp buds.

As you can see, full spectrum CBD products do contain a small amount of Delta 9 THC, which is the primary component in marijuana. The federal government places a strict limit on how much D9 can be in hemp plants, and that limit is a minute 0.3%. In such low concentrations, the THC should not get any of your customers high.

Full spectrum hemp extract offers a unique benefit known as the “entourage effect.” Obviously, this refers to the hit HBO show Entourage, starring Adrian Grenier and Jeremy Piven. Just kidding, this is Hollyweed, not Hollywood. The “entourage effect” refers to the synergistic power of all the cannabis compounds working together. Each compound amplifies the effects of the others, increasing their beneficial powers.

BROAD SPECTRUM

Broad spectrum CBD products contain the same natural compounds as full spectrum oil, except for Delta 9 THC. You still get most of the benefits of the entourage effect, though they may be slightly reduced. Broad spectrum products are ideal for any of your customers who are sensitive to THC or anticipate having to take a drug test in the near future (THC can trigger drug tests, but CBD should not).

CBD ISOLATE

CBD isolate is THC-free and contains none of the other elements in hemp. It is 99.99% pure CBD. Since isolate contains no flavonoids or terpenes, it is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. This makes it a fantastic addition to foods and beverages which would otherwise be overwhelmed by the earthy hemp flavor of full and broad spectrum oils.
